It is geting time for me to have to hunker down and study harder. Which is so hard to do during summertime, when the weather invites me out to play. Which I did do this weekend.
Friday, I went with Edris and Vinesh to fort mason center to watch improv. The actors were in their mid 30’s to late 40’s. Which was kind of a surprise to me, but nevertheless. They were really good.
My favorite scene was the 3 person talking for each other. In that improv, there were 3 actors acting, and each one of them would be talking for another actor. So you saw a lady talking, and the guy would have to act out like he was talking. The best part was when the people who were talking for each other, were actually interacting with each other on stage. Sometimes you would see them forget, and not move.
Then we drank a lot of wine, they stayed over at my house sleeping on the couch. For some reason, I didn’t want them to sleep in the living room by themselves. So I ended up sleeping on the papasan chair in the living room also.
Saturday was Matt and Joanna’s wedding at preservation park in oakland. That place is really pretty, with all the victorian houses.
I only took a couple pictures of the wedding. Very little picture taking, because I was walking around talking and dancing all night.
I was so happy for Matt. There was only one person I kind of felt sorry for that night. It was the best man. because that guy recently re-dislocated his shoulder when he slept wrong. Then the day before, he sprains his ankle.
How did this effect him? He could barely walk up the stairs to give the ring, and could not really dance at night. 🙂 In the middle of the wedding, he gave a toast that didn’t seem to be going in the right direction until he salvaged it. It started out with him giving marriage advice (from an unmarried single guy) and his illustration was about a recently separated couple who was going to get a divorce. With the ending being, like the man who still tries to honor his wife until she divorces him. The motto was to take your vows seriously until the end.
Then there was 8 hours of PE studying class today.
