There are a lot of scooters in the city, the police station has 20 in front of their building.
It is always scary/interestinf walking around here. Mostly because the cars seem to have more right away that pedestrian. So if there is an opening in a swarm of people, they will go through if, especially scooters.
Also the sidewalks are not level , with there being random drops and ups at different parts of the street. My favorite part is when there is no sidewalk, so I end up walking on the shoulder of the road. My sister is really scared the most, mostly because she never looks behind her. I an use to it because I bike(bicycle) often.
For lunch we ended up eating noodles, the exchange rate is 1 dollar to 30 NT, so we had beef noodles and ox tendon, and it turned out to look like a lot. 450nt then I realized if was 11 dollars to feed 4.
At night we took the taxi downtown to the night market. It is always interesting to see how up to date on cleanliness and what you are able to deal with. Since it is a night market, a lot of food is just cooked on the sidewalk. So my dad wanted to make sure the food being cooked was clean.
These looked like little pancakes.
Fresh potstickers and dumplings.
Squid
Fish balls, but we actually ate stinky tofu. I still don’t really like it, but it is tasting better to me than I remember.
So I am enjoying my day in Taiwan, just because it is so interesting seeing new things, and walking around different places.
