Emeryville has one of the most interesting types of buildings. I would say it is very industrial, with a lot of brick buildings. Mostly because a lot of those buildings use to be submarine factories for world war 2, with all the railroads going out to the water.
Anyways, I was at this tech lab (they are doing lights/laser labs), which needed to be remodeled. I liked it a lot, because I got to go out there and help the salesguy try to figure out what the customer wanted.
What did I find out from working with the guy, that he is still pretty new at building controls, so I have to hold his hands and help him go through it.
Then I made him a more adventurous eater, he had kabobs with me at an middle eastern restaurant.
As for my night cap, I went to Oakland Jack London Square to Celebrate Sherri’s Birthday! So we ended up walking through the light drizzle past random restaurants and the christmas tree at jack london square. (One of my favorite memories is walking by “Pescatore” where I had my senior prom dinner.) We ended up eating at BocaNova, it was a central american type restaurant.
So I didn’t really know what to order, so we kind of just had the server recommend.
A seafood type of deviled egg.
It was a banana with a bacon/meat thing on top.
Here was a salad/soup cervachi.
Here is the first main entrée, it is a shrimp dish.
Then there was a beef type of meat, with tortillas.
Then for dessert it was a Pear Tart – Star anise ice cream, candied guajillo. For some reason, I read Anise incorrectly, so it sounded dirty when I said it to Sherri!
It was a really good dinner, we were going to go to Plank, but Sherri wasn’t feeling too good. So I took her home, and then went back.
I think she really enjoyed it, and I also bought her a skirt for her birthday present. It was an A frame skirt with front pockets. It was done by one of my classmates from high school, so I saw it on her facebook post. Sherri was wondering how I went to a website to buy her that. I just wanted to tell her that I am awesome.
