So I have been working hard to try to keep to our google document schedule. It has been a pretty sad month for me. I have been a little slower in getting things done. Which I hope Sherri isn’t too sad about it. Here is the post I put on the wedding site incase I never port it over.
I have been working hard on making all the save the dates, and we got the electronic ones and hard copies ones ready. All the hard ones will be going to older people who don’t use email, and all the technological people will get electronic ones. All the cards that you see are made from golden cardstock, (which means it has some glitter on it). It takes my ten-high laser cutter around 15 minutes at 30mm/s @ 6% power. While all the cutouts are places on a slick card (I didn’t know the difference in card styles, so I got the ones that you always see passed out for clubs.)
Sherri had them printed out at PSPrints in oakland, and when I went there to pick it up. I guess it was our my lucky day because a week later when we were gluing the cards onto the back, we ended up having 50 leftover. I could not figure out why I had so many of the invitation cards left over, then I realized they must have given me 100 cards instead of 50.
With all these extra cards, we might make some extra ones and give it out to people if they ask me really nicely.
So that is the machine that is in my garage. It is around 100 pounds and it took a while to figure out how to use it. And I think I used up 20 pieces of paper until I arrived at the right speed and cut. The lines would sometimes get cut off when I cut at too high an intensity.
Sherri is really happy with these cards, and I think they turned out really good. So I will now turn my eyes towards the invitation suites. With all the pictures I see on pinterest, I think Sherri is coming up with something wild.

The biggest thing I had to make to get the laser cutter working well was making sure I had all the water in the blue bucket filled, and that aluminum fume hose pulled all the way out my door. Or else the garage was filled with a fine dust/dirt from the cutting. Which made me cough for a good couple days. Which must be really bad for me. 
I also ended up talking to my cousin about how he was making his cards, they were using the cricket, but the cricket is a really sharp knife, which they said dulled really fast. I did read about the cricket when I was looking at laser cutters, however, I ended up with the laser cutter because the cricket had mixed reviews.
