Friday Oak Museum/Off the Grid/Improv

IMAG1967

For today, I took Sherri out on a date. We went to Friday Nights, at the Oakland History Museum of California.

We started the night at Off the Grid in oakland, eating from the OTG trucks, we started off eating fish tacos, then we went into the museum and  walked around a couple of the floors. It is really nice that admission is half off on friday nights.

This was the truck we ate from. Then we sat around listening to the Afrobeat music, and watched a little of the Zimbabwean dance lesson.

The museum itself is pretty nice, it has a really nice art gallery. With a lot of history about here, like why Oakland is called Oakland. It is because there were a lot of oaks in this area. Smile

There is a robot monkey at the end.

Then hannah came to OTF around 1 hour later. She, Sherri, and I danced with all the random people dancing to the afrobeat. Doing our little twerks/dance. There was this old guy that was dancing so much, he was super sweaty.

I think hannah and sherri will go again on another friday, because they love to dance.

Then after that I went to watch improv at pan theatre with some of sherri’s friends. I enjoyed their improv, but it was different then what I usually like. They were more of an intellectual type comedy, and not as slapstick as Made-up Theatre. It took a while for the improv to get funny, which was at the end of the play when they started to close up the loose ends.
